Debutant - Eternal Life ep (Demo)
The compostion of music from the heart feels like it's made to rip apart, chew up and somehow glue said heart back together. When you listen to those melodramatic songs, which will not only drain the last tear out of your hopeless body, but also, leave you utterly disappointed with the fact that you're still in pain, you will understand and you will listen again...
Remedy the pain with anger, and with music... Music that sates the sad emotions and creates more and again, leaves us staring at the sky in hope.
An elixir is found in the music of solo artist, Debutant.

Of all the tracks that I initially connected with, the meaning might be completely the opposite from what bubbled up in my heart at first, but the track "Thirst", will leave you staring at a vast empty space, counting the sparkly dancing dots and flashing film-like images. The acoustic guitar traps you in, it cradles you in a comfort zone, with the sweet vocals, oh so soothing. I'm feeling better already.
Nostalgic sounds of comfort echo in the best track on this ep, "Sollitude". Of course, it may be comparable to other musicians, I prefer not to compare one to another, it is unfair to the effort put into making the music. "Sollitude" is stunning. The smooth composition drains all worries away, landscapes and the sky become your comforting friends. Yes the guy posesses the voice to do that, comfort you. Boy, I wonder what he'd sound like angry??? Hmm....leave that thought!
Question it not, this is almost as good as the heartbreak, which for some reason feels so good, the depression which makes you happy to be down. There are two other tracks on this ep but "Jeanne D' Arc" and "Definition" hint at the potential that the above two tracks achieved so well. That's not to say that we disliked them, the two other tracks just stood out so much!!!
