Tim, Face Berlin - 3 Track Demo
Sometimes music doesn’t need words to convey ideas. Emotions, effigies and the deepest desires can be articulated by instruments alone.
Tim, Face Berlin, has spoken to my soul in pure measures of melodramatic instrumental ecstasy.
There is something drug-like going on here. My body and mind are going through all sorts of feelings that transcend normal existence.

Tim, Face Berlin, has the ability to tap into emotive territories that hitherto seemed to be unknown and implausible. Songs that fill you with a life force that intertwines with your connective tissues, like a shot of pure adrenaline -- I am awake and aware of something unfelt before.
“The Fall Of Strindberg” is a colossal and elegant monster of a song. A militaristic drum roll marches the song through many heart-breaking moments of uniformed sadness. A gargantuan crescendo brings all of the instruments together to a meteoric climax. Think Mono and Explosions In The Sky shooting beautiful waves of wondrous molten volcanic matter from the belly from the deepest precipices in slow motion, the musical equivalent of watching nature at its most beautiful and most furious.
“Those Nights, That Summer” is a contemplative effort. Guitars ooze delay soaked minor chords that tune your heart strings to the saddest key possible. The music here despite its solemn nature is hugely uplifting. Giving you time to contemplate the day's events with a musical backdrop that says, “It’s ok, it’s all going be alright.” TFB is a musical arm around the shoulder, a warm hug and a place to release anything that troubles your soul -- comforting Post Rock for those moments of pensive loneliness.
“We Could Wait Forever” -- I honestly can't wait for a full release from this band. This three track demo is not enough. How can this band be so cruel in only giving me three songs? I am addicted already and need a much bigger fix next time. I want a higher dosage that will give me the buzz that this demo provided and I will do anything to get it, anything! I truly understand the term “Music Junkie”. TFB, you have left me with painful withdrawal symptoms and I need another fix.
